But what happens when a mother or a father returns from their leave and resumes their position?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, in many cases, they are expected to continue as if nothing has changed, taking up their responsibilities just as they left them before their absence. However, this expectation is unrealistic. The reality is that a parent returning to paid work needs a period of readjustment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Firstly, because the person coming back is not the same as the one who left. Their life, emotions, priorities, and even their brain have undergone significant changes.
